The genesis of KV :
Started in the year 1996 as a
single –section Civil Sector School , the State Govt. being
the sponsoring agency. Began with only primary classes from
I to V with a student strength of 136 and a staff strength
of 5 only. Over the years a new higher class was added each
year . Functioned in a portion of DIET hostel (temporary
accommodation) till Nov. 2008 , when the Vidyalaya moved
into its vast 15-acre new campus with its own grand building
near Govt. ITI . The new campus is a full-fledged one with
all infrastructural facilities like spacious well furnished
class rooms , Science & Computer labs ,play grounds (
football, volley ball, badminton & basket ball) and other
amenities like sweet clean drinking water , a canteen etc.
Important milestones of growth :
The Vidyalaya sent out its first batch
of students for CBSE’s AISS(X) Exam. in 2003.It has had the
distinction of winning a certificate of excellence for the
last two consecutive years for producing excellent result in
CBSE’s class X Exam. Our students have been doing well in
Co-curricular and Extra –curricular activities as well.
Nov. 2008 the Vidyalaya moved into its own new building . In
2003 our first batch of class X students appeared for AISS
Exam. of CBSE, and in 2009 our first batch of class XII students appeared
for AISSC Exam of CBSE.
Our results have been 100% since 2004 except for 2 years
i.e. in 2003 & 2005.Gradual year
wise expansion in classes and sections leading to present
status :
1996-97 : classes I to V ; 1997-98 : Class VI
added ;1998-99 : up to class VII ; 1999-2000 : class VIII
added.; 2000-2001: up to class IX ; 2002-2003 : first
batch of Class X students took their CBSE AISSExam.;
2007-08 +2 Science stream sanctioned ; 2008-09 our first
batch of AISSC students appear in CBSE’s Exam.; 2009-2010 :
Commerce Stream sanctioned and started in our KV. Starting with 136
students in 1996-97 our numerical strength has gone up to
480 as on 30st Sep 2009. In
2011, the vidyalaya becomes 2-sections Vidyalaya
New Campus: 15 Acres-
large campus -beautiful modern building, spacious class
rooms with adequate and suitable furniture and fittings,
Science and computer labs ,adequate toilet facility, safe
drinking water, good assembly hall, play fields (football,
basket ball, volley ball ) cycle-sheds, canteen. An Extension work for
the proposed supplementary building, with the main building, also started
in April 2009, to increase the number of classrooms, labs etc.
